'Coming out' outfit

Yey! First fashion-ish blogpost. Haha. My family's into fashion since then. I grew up hiding underneath a sewing machine when my lola is about to arrive in our boutique in Megamall and Glorietta  since kids are not allowed in our atelier. (Silly kid) More so, my mom is a fashion stylist and couturier she's into haute couture which specializes woman's apparels. Okay too much kwento about my childhood. Hohoho.

I'm not usually dressed like this when I'm in front of my family since they dont want me to wear girl's clothing. But yeah! I'm like this and I have nothing to do. I'm being silly meh?

BEAUTY UK LIPSTICKS SET REVIEW AND SWATCHES!

As you all know, I posted a picture on instagram like 8 weeks ago (@andricsonclemente) a beauty haul featuring UK/European Brands that I purchased from makeupholics. Search 'makeupholics' on facebook for awesome makeup finds without a snatch in your pocket.

Lets get on to the review!

LIPSTICKS are one of the products that make-up artists can't live without. You don't need a lot of lipsticks I bet you. You just need the right shades and you're ready to go. It doesn't matter if its high end or not as long as it works.

I recently fell inlove with the Lipsticks that I purchased from makeupholics. Its a Three-Lipstick Set from Beauty UK. Its a deluxe sized lipstick hence it's not a full sized one. Each full size lipstick costs £2.99 in UK which is really affordable. I got two packs which is 6 lipsticks.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

beautyuk: the company

Born and bred in the UK (hence the name), beautyuk has grown from strength to strength since its humble beginnings five years ago. We are a family run business, which is quite nice really in a world full of big, scary, faceless corporations, and it means we can provide a much friendlier, more tailored service for our customers.

The first set I got was the hollywood glam which has 3 pastel-ish shades. All of them are really creamy in consistency. It has a little bit of mint scent to it but not disturbing. I bet you that some of this lipsticks are not moisturizing. Might as well put a lipbalm before putting them on.

First Lipstick in the Hollywood Glam set is Cupcake which is a baby pink lipstick with blue undertone. (The picture kinda looks dark) It's a little bit similar to MAC saint german + MAC pink nouveou

Chelsea - a peach toned nude lipstick (sorry for the dark appearance in the picture) this color washes me out. It's kindoff similar to MAC's peachstock lipstick with a hint of MAC's freckletone for reference. This color would really compliment with light/pale skin (NC15-NC25, NW15-NW25 for MAC reference) I love nude lipsticks but the only nude one that suits me well is Everbilena's matte lipstick in Mauvey. I love this color though perfect for editorial, photoshoot and runway.
SNOB - It really looks dark in the picture! Sorry for that. But this is very similar to MAC Faux lipstick which is currently my favorite.  its a mauve shade with a hint of pastely plum color. This is creamy matte in consistency and it's really really pigmented.

The Next set is called 'Very Important Pout' it has mostly red-toned lippies like Naughty and Vampire except for Candy. This set has shiny/sheen/satin finish compared to the other set which has mostly creamy matte. And I bet you this is crazy pigmented. As in sobra. Ermagerd superb pigmentation.

CANDY - is a Nicki Minaj-ish hot pink lipstick this is really comparable to MAC's candy yum yum lipstick but not 100%. Its really pretty and hella pigmented.

NAUGHTY - is a bright bright red tone lipstick with blue undertone. The color reminds me of MAC's ruby woo(matte) and Estee Lauder's Scarlet(glossy). It's a very pretty color and compliments light and morena skin. Great for photoshoot and runway.

VAMPIRE - The name speaks for itself! LOL! It's a bloody Vampire Red! Perfect for Pin-Ups, Old Hollywood Glamour, Night Outs and Special Occasion. This color reminds me of MAC's Russian Red with a hint of MAC's Dubonnet.

FINAL VERDICT -

I will rate this 10 stars even though the packaging is a no-no it's similar to the packaging of NYX's matte lipstick. And it's not locally available ypu can only buy this online at makeupholics. The product itself inside the tube is really really amazing. One swipe and youre ready to go. The pigmentation is awesome! The consistency is really creamy as it can be. And lastly it's really affordable! Everyone can afford it. :))

DISCLAIMER : I'm not affiliated with 'makeupholics' nor 'beautyUk' I purchased this with my own money and all of the facts stated above are nothing but the truths and my opinions. :D

My bare face ft. everyday makeup look

BARE FACE! Nothing on except moisturizer and primer! :D

EVERYDAY MAKE-UP LOOK! :D pardon my deep set under eye!

MY PERSONAL SKINCARE ROUTINE

We all have different skin types, oily, dry, normal and combination skin here are the difference between each skin conditions.

OILY - wherein your entire face is really oiled up due to weather conditions and sometimes its a skin problem. Most oily people are acne prone skin.

DRY - dry skin are very much related to weather conditions wherein if its too cold your skin might experience dryness or sometimes due to laziness we often don't use moisturizers (which is a must!)

NORMAL - this skin type is not oily or dry. You can say that this skin type is well moisturized.

COMBINATION - I plead on guilty! I'm one of 'em! We basically have oily skin and dry skin! Some parts of our face is oily (TZONE) some of it are dry (sides of the nose)

HERE ARE MY SKIN CARE ESSENTIALS!

Facial Wash/Scrub : Garnier Brightening Oil Control Scrub! (This works if you have really oily skin, I don't recommend this with dry skin)

Moisturizing water (Not in the picture) - Evian Facial Spray or Lush Tea Tree Water Spray

Toner : Lancome Bi-Facil Beauty Water

Moisturizer : Lancome Visionnaire Color Correcting Creams

Eye Cream/Gel : Mary Kay Smoothing Eye Gel (I prefer water based products for eye area because I have oily under eyes so if I use creams the concealer may end up cakey or creasing)

HOPE THIS HELPS! See you on the next one!

XOXO
Andrics ❤💋

CLINIQUE CHUBBY STICK MOISTURIZING LIP BALM in #04 Mega Melon REVIEW

Hello readers! this blogpost will be a short review about the Clinique Chubby Stick.

When I was scanning my grandma's make-up kit to look for new products (my grandma is a Clinique user and a lover) this Clinique chubby stick caught my eye. I asked her if she can give it to me and she said yes.
I want it simply because I have very dry lips and not for review purposes *wink*. I have tried so many lip moisturizers and this is the only product the cured my cracked lips. Too much kwento? :D let's get on to the review!

Based on Clinique's Website it is :
"Super-nourishing balm is loaded with mango and shea butters. Just what dry, delicate lips need to feel comfortably soft and smooth. Sixteen natural-looking lip tints in all, each with a subtle sheen."

PACKAGING :

I believe that this is a sample size, the packaging is pretty good. The color of the lip balm matches the body and I love the bottom part with it's silver design.  The only problem with the packaging is the lip balm may touch the lid of the cap. So you should take the cap off slowly and gently. I can put it on my bag because it is very sleek and small, so I can bring 'em anywhere i go.
PRODUCT :

The color mega melon is a peachy pink color and has pretty gold pigments that is not too overwhelming. I fell in love when I first used it. I have very dry lips so I need to moisturize them every time.
and this WONDERFUL lip balm cured my cracked lips. It has no pungent smell at all.
You don't need to sharpen it because it has a swivel up container. It is very natural looking
especially I'm a guy and i don't want somebody's reaction "ohh he's wearing a lipstick" kind off thing. *pout* + *laugh* .
SEE? IT'S FREAKING NATURAL AND WONDERFUL! :)

close up picture of CLINIQUE Chubby Stick in Mega Melon

On the Clinique Website, this babies costs $16 bucks each. Not bad for a helpful baby like these. Of course I would like to re-purchase it, but here in the Philippines it's too expensive. And a lot of bloggers said that Revlon has a dupe for it. But for now, I will enjoy this baby while it is being emptied! *pout*

Catch you soon girls!

Expert tips on Contouring, Highlighting and bronzing (the PRO and easy way)

Expert tips on Contouring, Highlighting and bronzing (the PRO and easy way)

It's been ages since I last posted a blogpost and I decided to make one, a VERY SPECIAL and INFORMATIVE one. This blogpost will teach you how to to CONTOUR, HIGHLIGHT and BRONZ (the PRO and easy way). There's a lot of difference between and contouring and bronzing. Contouring will help you achieve a nice Three-dimensional effect especially on pictures and photoshoots. While bronzing helps the face to achieve a sun-kissed glow. but you can use bronzer as a contouring powder. :) and lastly the highlighting,  it will emphasize the high points of your face.

NOTE : This tutorial is not for everyday use.

Products I used :

MOISTURIZER : Clinique Even Better Moisturizer
PRIMER : Smashbox PhotoFinish Primer
FOUNDATION (highlight) : Smashbox HD healthy FX + Revlon Photoready in Natural Beige + encara BB cream
FOUNDATION (contour) : wet n wild ultimate cover smooth foundation in 857 bronze (ebay)
HIGHLIGHTER : Garnier BB eye roll on.
CONTOURING POWDER : estee lauder soft matte bronzer in Bronze Goddess
FINISHING POWDER : Jordana USA pressed powder in creamy beige for highlight and Saizen Chiffon Foundation for the rest of the face.

Let's get on to the tutorial!:

With your base contour foundation, apply it on your temples and hairline including the sides of your nose.
on the other hand
Don't forget to put your highlighter and foundation on your forehead, under eye area, above the jawline and the center of your nose.

with your contour foundation, apply it on your cheekbone area,  temples
including your jawline!
It'll help your under eye area to brighten and look lifted up. Peg of KIM K.!

After putting all products on your face, you're ready to go! HAHA. just kidding.

With a clean stippling brush(e. MAC 187) or flat top brush(e. Sigma F80)
blend everything with a circular buffing motion until you get that airbrushed effect not that airBruised look. :D

set everything with a setting powder of your choice (e. Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder is the best)

don't forget to take your favorite bronzer to sculpt your face!

and Viola! you're ready to go..
(don't forget to set your face with a setting spray!)
