Expert tips on Contouring, Highlighting and bronzing (the PRO and easy way)

It's been ages since I last posted a blogpost and I decided to make one, a VERY SPECIAL and INFORMATIVE one. This blogpost will teach you how to to CONTOUR, HIGHLIGHT and BRONZ (the PRO and easy way). There's a lot of difference between and contouring and bronzing. Contouring will help you achieve a nice Three-dimensional effect especially on pictures and photoshoots. While bronzing helps the face to achieve a sun-kissed glow. but you can use bronzer as a contouring powder. :) and lastly the highlighting,  it will emphasize the high points of your face. 

NOTE : This tutorial is not for everyday use.

Products I used :

MOISTURIZER : Clinique Even Better Moisturizer

PRIMER : Smashbox PhotoFinish Primer

FOUNDATION (highlight) : Smashbox HD healthy FX + Revlon Photoready in Natural Beige + encara BB cream

FOUNDATION (contour) : wet n wild ultimate cover smooth foundation in 857 bronze (ebay)

HIGHLIGHTER : Garnier BB eye roll on.

CONTOURING POWDER : estee lauder soft matte bronzer in Bronze Goddess

FINISHING POWDER : Jordana USA pressed powder in creamy beige for highlight and Saizen Chiffon Foundation for the rest of the face.

Let's get on to the tutorial!:

 With your base contour foundation, apply it on your temples and hairline including the sides of your nose. 

on the other hand

Don't forget to put your highlighter and foundation on your forehead, under eye area, above the jawline and the center of your nose.

 with your contour foundation, apply it on your cheekbone area,  temples

including your jawline!

It'll help your under eye area to brighten and look lifted up. Peg of KIM K.!

After putting all products on your face, you're ready to go! HAHA. just kidding.

With a clean stippling brush(e. MAC 187) or flat top brush(e. Sigma F80)

blend everything with a circular buffing motion until you get that airbrushed effect not that airBruised look. :D

set everything with a setting powder of your choice (e. Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder is the best)

don't forget to take your favorite bronzer to sculpt your face!

and Viola! you're ready to go..

Out of stock. On my second attempt of buying it after two weeks time, my shade is not available so I ended up buying the darkest shade which is in no. 3.

But I never regret it.

FIRST IMPRESSION:

It was cute! The packaging is pink! (It looks like red in the picture, but then it's not it's like hot pink) Who doesn't love a pink item? So feminine.

The last shade available is shade no.3 and I said to myself it will not work on me because I have a kinda fair to medium skintone. But I ended up buying it.

PRODUCT TESTING:

No.1

It’s 9:00am when I put my personal foundation routine and I used this BB Powder for setting my concealer and foundation. I have a lunch appointment with my sister at The Podium at 12:00 noon. I rode a bus (standing!). It’s already 2pm when we finished our lunch then we go to her nearby condominium. When I face the mirror I was like “OMG! I didn’t retouch anything or using blotting sheets” and still, my make up is in Pristine condition.

REVIEW:

It’s very long lasting! The finish is not actually super matte. I think the shade no. 3 is perfect! I feel I’m not wearing any make up. Its super light weight. It’s perfect for setting your concealer or foundation! It does the job. SPF 15 is great for photography (Low SPF has a lower amount of titanium dioxide which makes our face moon face on pictures) for a price of PHP194? This powder is way better than maybelline.

FINAL VERDICT:

VALUE FOR MONEY: 10 STARS! 194PESOS!

CONSISTENCY: 10 STARS! I didn't even retouch once. It stays like 9 hours.

FINAL : 9.5 STARS! It’s 7 grams. Maybe it should be 9 or someting. J And it has only  3 shades.

Review:

This is an Honest review about the Encara BB cream. I'm using different BB cream, cheap and the expensive ones. But this BB cream stands out for me. even though it's kinda expensive (999php).

The consistency of this one is superb. Honestly, my mom and dad loves it. Yes, you heard it right. 

my dad loves it. and he's using it too, for face and other skin blemishes. For me, this is an all in one

BB cream. A concealer, foundation, moisturizer and skin whitening. The pigmentation is great.

Consistency : 10 stars. It is very well pigmented.

FINAL : 8 Stars! As I said earlier even this product had done a great job of course not all people can 

afford it. but for me as a freelance pro-mua. this product is a MUST HAVE!
